Our Finance for sales managers course will help you to maximise the financial return on your sales effort, understand the working capital cycle and equip you and your team with the tools to optimise profitability.

  • Understand the financial impact of changes in margin and mark-up and how this affects profitability
  • Produce a profit and loss account by customer and by product
  • Calculate and analyse your competitors’ margins
  • Understand why profit does not equal cash
  • Consider how your sales impact on cash requirements and the working capital cycle
  • Review WIP reports, aged debtor reports and calculate debtor days
  • Analyse management accounts and learn what questions you should be asking your finance department
  • Producing budgets and forecasts
  • Measuring financial performance, using ratio analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Presenting reports to your finance director
